While attending cosmetology school in 1995 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Julia realized that she had a natural talent for style, creativity, and beautification. After working in the insurance industry for several years, she honed her business acumen but soon recognized that the hair industry was her true calling.

Julia became a licensed stylist in 2005 and decided to open LaBella’s Salon in Gulfport, MS. Her decision to leave the corporate world to pursue her passion for hairstyling has proven prophetic, and she has never looked back.

Over time, LaBella’s Salon has become a beacon for cutting-edge sleek styles, precision barbering, and natural styles such as locs and braids. Julia’s commitment to healthy hair, precision-tapered short soft styles, vibrant color depth, and natural-looking extension applications have set her apart in the industry.
